David Loesch is co-owner, Trader, and Fixed-Income Money Manager for The DRL Group, specialists in Municipal and Corporate Bonds. David has spent almost three decades focusing on bonds and has authored numerous publications on the subject. His firm has been recognized as one of Global 100’s Best Municipal Bond Money Management Firms in the US. David is also a Houston Business Journal’s Business Council member for the City of Houston, representing the Fixed Income Markets.

David specializes in fixed-income trading in all areas of the bond market. He deals with everything from BBB to AAA-rated tax-exempt, and taxable bonds. He also collaborates with other dealers in the marketplace bidding on issues and making markets in specific securities in this asset class. David manages institutional fixed-income accounts and has a significant retail client base, giving veteran insights on market activity and trading trends affecting these portfolios.

David tailors his trading style to meet each individualized account, ensuring investment objectives are met. His trading “philosophy” recognizes that all clients have varying risk tolerances and beliefs. He aligns those parameters to personally build fixed-income portfolios uniquely specific to the client’s objectives.

As owner and Principal, David also oversees the office’s day-to-day activities, employing a team with collective industry experience of over eight decades who focus on exceptional personal service to client investors.

David has been married for over 35 years to his lovely wife Laura and has two adult children, Ashley and Joshua. He is active in many charities around Houston, including the Rotary Club of Katy, while also serving on the organization’s board for their Education Foundation, working directly with Katy ISD. David also serves on the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’s International Committee, working with the City of Houston and the many consulates that make up the diversity of the City of Houston. David is also on the Steer Auction Committee of the rodeo, which contributes the most significant portion of fundraising proceeds to the Rodeo Scholarship Fund awarded to young men and women of TX providing a future to many.
